| Malachi 4:5-6 “Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming and the dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the father’s to the children, and the hearts of the children to their father’s, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” There’s a cry in the land from this generation!! The cry so often hidden; not heard or seen with physical ears and eyes, but in the realm of the Spirit. It’s a cry for spiritual fathers & mother’s to come along side, and walk with and mentor through deep meaningful relationships. A cry for someone to minister healing, deliverance and restoration in areas of their lives that have been wounded or broken from sin or offenses from others. It’s a cry for someone to come along side and to speak prophetic words of LIFE into their future and God –given destiny. The cry is loud yet so seldom heard by many because of our lack of victorious living, therefore we seldom turn our ears to the generation that follows so that we may equip them to posses what God has prepared for them!! I see a Joshua generation on the rise. A generation that longs to break free from the wilderness mentality and experience and possess what God has for them through believing in the promises of God. I see a generation that is willing to address the areas and situations in their lives and experience victorious spiritual living!! I see this generation sanctifying themselves and becoming a people of holiness, set apart so that they might be useful for the Master. Oh how they long not just to know about God or what HE has done, but to experience him in their own lives, walking by faith and not by sight. “The Watch” was birthed in the fall of 2008 with the vision simply being to see young men & women’s lives healed, restored and set free through the power of the Holy Spirit & the Word so that this generation might possess all that God has for them. The name was given to me one day in prayer, and is taken from the Gospel of Mark chapter 13, where Jesus say’s “to watch for the Master”. No one knows when He will return. So he warns in this chapter not to be sleeping when the master returns. This is my cry and burden for this generation that we would be those that WATCH!!!! We meet once a week for worship, Bible study, and prayer. God has done many, wonderful things in our midst and has probably changed me more than any of the others .I am so grateful for the wonderful group of young people God has given us to walk with in our journey and pour our lives into!! As John wrote in 3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth”. This verse sums it all up!! My cry is that this generation will return to the truth and live and experience all the promises of God. FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!! Doug Nolt |
